China's largest refining and chemical integration base
The first phase of the Zhenhai Base project of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang Province, was completed on June 28.
It set a record for the shortest construction period of a petrochemical industrial base using the highest degree of domestically-made equipment and the most digital applications in China.
Once operational, the base is expected to have an annual oil refining and ethylene output capacity of 27 million and 2.2 million tons respectively, making it the largest integrated refining and chemical base in the country.
