Tan said President Xi Jinping reiterated that the central government should support the moderate economic diversification of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), help the SAR better integrate into the country's overall development, and further advance the successful practice of "one country, two systems" with Macao characteristics. In line with the central government's guidelines, SASAC strongly support central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to serve and integrate into Macao so as to assist its healthy and sustainable development. Over the years, Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited, China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) and China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, in collaboration with partners in Macao, held a number of exhibitions of automobiles, yachts and business aviation, which played a positive role in promoting Macao's moderate economic diversification and the building of an exhibition platform with international influence.

Tan noted that in the new journey of building China into a modern socialist country in all respects, Macao is faced with new opportunities. SASAC will further motivate central SOEs to actively participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and deliver high quality projects related to infrastructure, public service and people's livelihoods in Macao. SASAC will also promote cooperation between central SOEs and the business community in Macao in the fields of economics, trade and technological innovation, support Macao's construction of functional platforms under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and assist the city to better integrate into the overall development of the country.

The automobile exposition was held in parallel with the 11th China (Macao) International Yacht Import and Export Fair and the 10th Macao Business Aviation Exhibition, with participants from eight central SOEs and five local SOEs.
