A total of 300,000 new passes for the fourth China International Import Expo have been dispatched to visitors by Oct 22 and another 60,000 passes from last year have been reactivated, according to the organizer.

Lu Zhou, the person in charge of the CIIE registration center, said reusing the passes shows the green and sustainable way of organizing the annual expo.

The dispatching of new passes will end by October, and the center will start handling loss reports and pass replacements from Saturday, Lu said.

To avoid long lines at entrance for health code check, the expo has linked its pass management system with Shanghai municipal big data center to get the pass holder's vaccination and COVID-19 testing results, so that people won't need to show their documents when entering the expo.

According to the expo's epidemic control protocol, all visitors are required to have negative testing results within 48 hours before they enter the venue. For people attending the opening ceremony, the time requirement for the test is within 24 hours.

Expo participants coming from overseas need to go through 14 days of quarantine at designated hotels plus 7 days of self health observation and body temperature report.

All visitors need to complete full COVID-19 vaccination program 14 days before coming to the expo. Those with body temperature higher than 37.3 degree will be denied entry.

People coming from or having traveled to middle or high risk level of COVID-19 exposure are advised not to attend the expo unless extremely necessary.
