China Huadian Corporation Ltd. (CHD), China Mobile Limited and ZTE Corporation recently signed an agreement to promote high-quality development of the mining industry by exploring typical 5G-based scenarios.
The three sides released a 5G-based smart mining solution which is intended to carry out various kinds of mining operations based on customized networks with outstanding broadband, low latency and high security isolation. The solution is expected to contribute to digital transformation of the mining industry by improving production safety, lowering costs and boosting efficiency.
A major traditional energy industry, coal and mining is expected to follow the digital and intelligent upgrading trend.
CHD has been pushing forward smart and green mining development based on emerging technologies such as 5G, big data and edge computing.
Next, the three companies will deepen cooperation to promote digital transformation and innovation in the industrial energy sector.
