Construction of the Baihetan Hydropower Station on the Jinsha River on the border of Southwest China's Sichuan and Yunnan provinces is now progressing smoothly.
The second cascade hydropower station invested and built by China Three Gorges Corporation, the Baihetan Hydropower Station has a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts.
Its first generator units are expected to start operation in July 2021.
