Construction of China's first domestically-designed and built large aircraft production and test flight center was completed in East China's Jiangxi Province on April 24.
Contracted by China Railway 18th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the production and test flight center for Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. is expected to provide support to production, test, operation and maintenance of the ARJ21 regional jetliners.
Located in the core area of Nanchang Aerospace Industry Town, the center neighbors Yaohu Airport in the Nanchang High-tech Zone.
Covering 245,000 square meters, the center includes 16 separate centers for aircraft delivery and painting, and an apron area large enough for 11 aircraft.
Several advanced technologies like an air purification system will be seen at the center.
Upon operation, the center is expected to deliver 30 aircraft annually.
Completion of the center will contribute to commercial operation of China-developed large aircraft and will build Nanchang Aerospace Industry Town into a main aviation industrial cluster in China.
Capable of offering full chain service including design, production, test flight, delivery and operation of aircraft, the center is a platform to promote Chinese large aircraft to the world.
