China released two pictures of Mars on March 26, which show clear images of the planet's southern and northern parts.
The pictures were taken by the mid-resolution camera of the Tianwen 1 probe when it was about 11,000 kilometers above the planet's surface.
The probe has been in a parking orbit for a month, during which payloads including the high-resolution and mid-resolution cameras, as well as the mineral spectrometer, analyzers for energetic particles, ions and neutral particles, and magnetometer were activated to carry out scientific tasks.
