Following the clean development principle, China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) planted trees to help improve the desert environment in recent years.
China Energy's subsidiary in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region planted more than 60,000 Mongolian scotch pines in 500 mu (33.33 hectares) of area in the region by March 12, 2021. The company will continue the action and aim to turn more than 3,000 mu of desert area into oasis.
