Updated: March 03, 2021

A Long March 4C carrier rocket was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China's Gansu Province on Feb 24, sending Yaogan-31 03 satellites into selected orbit.

Primarily developed by China Spacesat Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the satellites are to be used for electromagnetic environment surveys and related technology tests.

The Long March 4C rocket was developed by CASC's Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. It is a three-stage carrier rocket powered with liquid fuel under normal temperature and is capable of launching various types of satellites with different orbit requirements.

The launch on Feb 24 was the 361st flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
