The Longcheng Road in Pengze, East China's Jiangxi Province, a supporting project of China's action plan on protection and restoration of the Yangtze River, recently opened to traffic.
The most important artery in the city, the project had an investment of 700 million yuan ($108.22 million) and included renovation of the Longcheng Road and pipelines for its four by-passes as well as construction of a rain sewage pipe network, expansion and landscaping of the road and ecological wetland parks.
With a new rain sewage pipeline network, the road is expected to help improve water quality of the Yangtze River and contribute to high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, participated in the project.
