The last two towers of the Fenghuang Road Yellow River Bridge in Jinan, East China's Shandong Province, were roofed on Jan 31, 2021.
The self-anchored suspension bridge has a main structure of three towers and the world's longest span.
The road is a traffic artery connecting the Xindong Station on the south bank of the river and Cuizhai town in Shandong.
Built to the highest highway construction standards in China, the eight-lane bridge is about 3.7 kilometers long and has a speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour.
Upon completion, travel time across the river will be shortened to four minutes.
What's more, it is expected to improve the regional highway network, strengthen transport capacity and contribute to conversion of old and new growth drivers in Jinan.
