Two sections of the Beijiang Super Major Bridge of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing highway in South China's Guangdong Province were connected on Jan 26.
The super major bridge over the Beijiang River connects Sanshui district in Foshan and Dawang district in Zhaoqing.
The completion of the bridge brought construction of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing highway to a close and marked that another traffic artery in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is ready for operation.
The bridge was contracted by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited.
