Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) played a crucial role in economic and social development and contributed to the anti-pandemic battle in 2020. Let's have a look at the super projects they achieved this year.
Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals
The Huoshenshan and Leishenshan makeshift hospitals in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province, were constructed at the COVID-19 outbreak.
More than 40,000 builders and 2,500 large pieces of equipment of China State Construction Engineering Corporation contributed to the project.
Many other central SOEs including China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, State Grid Corporation of China, China Telecommunications Corporation, China United network Communications Group Co., Ltd., China Mobile Limited (China Mobile) and China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. also participated in the construction.
The Huoshenshan hospital was completed on Feb 2 after 10 days' construction and on Feb 8 Leishenshan hospital received its first patients.
