The Heyang-Tongchuan highway, the first PPP traffic infrastructure project in Shaanxi Province, recently opened to traffic.
With a total investment of 14.5 billion yuan ($2.25 billion), the highway, including 73 bridge sections, starts from Heyang county and terminates at Tongchuan.
Vehicles are restricted to a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
A part of the highway between Heze in Shandong Province and Baoji in Shaanxi, the Heyang-Tongchuan highway is expected to contribute to Shaanxi's goal of building a highway network linking all counties in the province.
The project was invested by China Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC). Sixteen CRCC subsidiaries participated in its construction.
