A renovated section of the highway linking Xiqing district in Tianjin and Qingxian county in Cangzhou, Hebei province, recently opened to traffic.
It is expected to improve traffic conditions between the Haitai Industrial Park in Tianjin and other areas and to boost the integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Jointly invested and constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, and Tianjin Expressway, the project was the first PPP highway built in Tianjin.
The 3.59-kilometer highway section has six lanes and a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
During construction, a new type of modifier was added to the pitch to improve its stability. Smart control and management systems and technologies were also used to promote engineering quality.
It's worth mentioning that a remote control function, including unmanned aerial vehicle patrols, applications for identifying hidden dangers and virtual reality measures were also adopted in the project to enhance security control.
