A highway linking Pingli and Zhenping counties in Shaanxi province recently opened to traffic.
Planned as a main highway linking Shaanxi and Hubei provinces, as well as Chongqing, the 85-kilometer highway has four lanes and a designed speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
It shortens travel time between Pingli and Zhenping to 45 minutes and is expected to improve the highway network in Shaanxi and boost regional economic and social development.
Several subsidiaries of China Communications Construction Company Limited participated in the project.
