New Section of Yanji-Changchun Highway in Northeast China Opens to Traffic

Updated: December 24, 2020

The 134-kilometer highway between Longjing and Dapuchaihe county in Northeast China's Jilin province recently opened to traffic, expecting to improve traffic flow and promoting tourism development in affected areas.

Starting from Longjing in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, the highway winds through the Changbai Mountain Scenic Spot and terminates at Dapuchaihe in Dunhua city.

It is a section of the highway between Yanji and Changchun, capital city of Jilin.

CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC), participated in construction of the tunnels, bridges, roadbed and culvert of the section as well as associated greening.

The section will shorten travel time between Yanji and the Changbai Mountains to 1.5 hours.
