Construction of the Pingtan comprehensive transportation hub of the Fuzhou-Pingtan high-speed railway in Southeast China's Fujian province is to be completed soon, laying a foundation for the railway's operation at the end of this month.
Contracted by China Railway First Group Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited, the hub will provide various kinds of traffic services including high-speed trains, buses, taxis and online car hailing.
The hub's design is an integration of traditional local residences and modern architecture.
A major expansion section of the Beijing-Fuzhou high-speed railway, the Fuzhou-Pingtan high-speed railway is about 88 kilometers with a designed speed of 200 kilometers per hour.
