Two blowers of the Zhuanghe offshore wind farm in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, were hoisted on Nov 27.
Two wind turbine installation vessels, the Tie Jian Feng Dian 01 and Zhong Chuan Hai Gong 101, played an important role in the hoisting.
Contracted by CRCC Harbour and Channel Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, the wind farm is nearly 20 kilometers from the coastline.
The project includes foundation construction of 40 steel pipe piles and installation of 60 5MW wind power generator units which are scheduled for operation by the end of October 2021.
Upon completion, the wind farm is to produce about 770 million kWh of power annually, equaling that produced by burning 235,000 tons of standard coal and reducing pollutant emissions by 2,600 tons.
