The two sections of the Taihang Mountains expressway in Zhangjiakou, North China's Hebei province, recently opened to traffic.
With a designed speed of 60 kilometers per hour, the double-lane highway is about 18 kilometers long and contains six bridges.
The two sections are parts of the traffic integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, which is expected to promote its coordinated development.
The project was contracted by CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC).
