Landscape Lamps on 5th Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge under Adjustment

Updated: November 27, 2020

Adjustment of the landscape lamps on the fifth Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge in East China's Jiangsu province recently began, indicating that the bridge will soon be open to traffic.

It is the world's first steel-concrete composite cable-stayed bridge.

In addition to lamp adjustment, the installation of traffic signs as well as communication and monitoring devices are in full swing.

Linking the Jiangbei New Area, the Jiangxinzhou Town and Hexi New City, the six-lane bridge will be a part of the highway around Nanjing and will relieve cross-river traffic pressure.

Once operable, it is expected to contribute to construction of the Jiangbei New Area and development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Meanwhile, it will be an important part of the cross-river highway network in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

The bridge was designed by CCCC Highway Consultants Co., Ltd. and CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company., Ltd. CCCC Second Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. participated in its construction. All three companies are subsidiaries of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC).
