Gansu's First PV Power Project Starts Operation

Updated: November 23, 2020

The 74MW photovoltaic power generation project in Suzhou district in Jiuquan, Northwest China's Gansu province, recently went into operation. It was the first of its kind to start operating in the province in 2020.

The project was invested and built by CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP).

It is expected to produce 133 million kWh of power annually, equaling that produced by burning 3,850 tons of standard coal and eliminating about 165 tons of oxynitride, 10,967 tons of carbon dioxide and 330 tons of sulfur dioxide.
