COFCO Increases Trade Volume at 3rd CIIE

COFCO Corporation (COFCO), a member of the CIIE Central SOE Trade Mission, intends to increase contract value and improve product quality at the third China International Import Expo (CIIE) from Nov 5 to 10.

An international foodstuff producer and grain trader, COFCO is devoted to consumption upgrading in China and the promotion of diversified import sources. It is the third time the company has attended the CIIE event.

The company plans to increase imports of staple food grains including barley, wheat, grain sorghum and corn as well as food products like nuts and seafood. It will also deepen trade cooperation with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The exhibition area of COFCO's partner enterprises has also been expanded by more than 60 percent compared to that of last year, which shows their confidence and expectations to the Chinese market and COFCO.

A leading promoter of Chinese agriculture to the world, COFCO has played a role in balancing shortage and surplus of the global grain and oil market as well as guiding and driving the world agricultural production. It keeps the rules of the World Trade Organization and supports multilateral trade mechanisms to help build an open global economy.
