The Ubungo interchange, the first highway interchange with multiple spans and layers in Tanzania, opened to traffic on Sept 30.
Jointly contracted by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and China Railway 19 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., both subsidiaries of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, the project is a landmark in Tanzania and has won great admiration.
A major traffic hub for entering Dar es Salaam, the capital city, from the west, the interchange will support construction of further traffic access, help relieve road congestion and ease local travel.
