Ngari prefecture-central Tibet power interconnection project
Ali Grid Interconnection Project in China's Tibet autonomous region, the world's highest ultra-high voltage power transmission and transformation project, was completed in July 2020.
It was the fourth power grid to operate on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
Covering 74 counties, the project ended the power shortage in the affected areas, putting more than 3 million people on the same power grid and benefiting 380,000 local farmers and herdsmen.
