Changting ecological forest in Fujian
The Changting ecological forest in Fujian was jointly built by China National Petroleum Corporation and the government of Changting county.
The project was built in 100,000 mu of red soil mountainous area with the most serious water and soil loss situation.
Centered on the Water Conservation Science and Education Park in Changting, the company and the local government planted 771,822 trees in six villages. The survival rate of the trees was more than 98 percent.
The project successfully completed environmental treatment in 2018 and achieved coordinated development of poverty alleviation and ecological protection. It also contributes to improving villagers' income.
