Poverty-alleviation relocation project in Hebei
The poverty-alleviation relocation project in Zhangbei county in Hebei is the province's largest integrated resettlement zone for hollow village management.
A hollow village refers to a rural village that most villagers have left for jobs in cities, leaving the young and the senior in the hometown.
Built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, the project now has 27 residential buildings and 5,963 residents from 2,252 households of 15 towns and counties have moved in.
