CSCEC Boosts China's Transportation

Updated: October 16, 2020

Logistics plays a key role in promoting the national economy and building a new development pattern. China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is now in full swing in traffic infrastructure construction as it contributes to building a strong transportation network in China.

The Huaping-Lijiang highway

The highway linking Huaping county and Lijiang in Southwest China's Yunnan province is a major project of the Belt and Road Initiative and the first national highway built in PPP mode in the province.

A section of the Shanghai-Chengdu Highway, it is also a part of the comprehensive traffic network of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

A bridge between Yunnan's ceramics and rose-growing industrial parks and its tourism industry, the highway will benefit 1.1 million residents in affected areas and is expected to play a role in connecting Yunnan and other regions and regional development of northwestern Yunnan.

What's more, it will accelerate development of poverty alleviation and tourism in the province.

The Nantong ring road

A result of cooperation between the provincial government of East China's Jiangsu and the municipal government of Nantong in the province, the 65-kilometer Nantong ring road, is scheduled to open to traffic in 2023.

A part of the highway network in the province, the ring road will relieve local traffic congestion, promote regional social and economic development and boost construction of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong economic zone.

It will also play a part in giving Nantong a strategic role in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
