China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), recently won a public bidding project in Hengqin, Zhuhai in South China's Guangdong province, the first of its kind in the region.

According to the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, mutual recognition of professional qualifications between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and Macao is to be promoted to ease cross-border working.

In addition, Hong Kong and Macao entrepreneurship and employment pilot zones will be launched in Qianhai in Shenzhen, Nansha in Guangzhou and Hengqin in Zhuhai, where enterprises and qualified professional construction and engineering consultants will be allowed to provide direct services for market entities of the Chinese mainland.

China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited obtained Hengqin New Area's first business certificate to carry out operations on the Chinese mainland on April 16.

It was also responsible for the first experimental project operated in accordance with Macao's engineering management model.

The company's new project will contribute to convergence development and policy innovation in the Greater Bay Area.
