The first two immersed tubes of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge were connected on June 17, 2020.
A super cross-sea project integrating bridge, island, tunnel and underwater passage engineering, the 24-kilometer bridge has eight lanes in both directions and has the world's longest and widest cased structural immersed tunnel and is jointly build by China Communications Construction Company Limited and China Railway Group Limited.
With the most complicated engineering environment, the project calls for the most difficult relevant technologies currently available in the world.
