The Nansha Bridge, previously the Humen Second Bridge, opened to traffic on April 2, 2019, becoming the first super project to begin operations after the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was released.

Linking Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the bridge has two sections which are two cross-river grand bridges more than 1,000 meters long.

It's worth mentioning that the 49.7 meter-wide bridge built by China Communications Construction Company Limited is the world's widest steel box girder suspension bridge and that 100,000 vehicles pass over it each day.
