The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge opened to traffic on Oct 24, 2018.
The longest cross-sea bridge in the world, it is 55 kilometers in length and connects Hong Kong in the east, Zhuhai and Macao in the west, linking bridges, islands and tunnels.
More than 70 percent of the bridge's construction was undertaken by China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC).
It is worth mentioning that its immersed tunnel, a section of the bridge's island tunnel engineering contracted by CCCC consortium, was China's first of its kind in open waters and is the world's longest highway-immersed tunnel as well as its only deep-immersed tube tunnel.
