UHVDC transmission project in Brazil was launched in December 2017

In February 2014, State Grid Corporation of China (State Grid) delivered the first and second (±800 kV) UHVDC transmission projects for the Meili Mountain Hydropower Station in Brazil. The first phase of the project was successfully put into operation in 2017. The second phase of the project is under construction, part of the "going out" of the full value chain of China's high voltage technology, standards and equipment. The picture shows the achievement of the first phase of the project.
