The conversion efficiencies of copper, indium, gallium and selenium solar cells have reached a world record 17.9%. The cells were produced by the German AVANCIS Munich Research Center, which belongs to China National Building Materials Group (CNBM). It is also a significant achievement as Chinese enterprises seek a commanding position in the global industry.
