Sinclair Hydroelectric Power Plant, is a model project along the Belt and Road with investment of $2.3 billion. It is located in the northeast of Ecuador, with a total installed capacity of 1.5 million kW. It is the largest hydropower station with the largest amount of investment in Ecuador's history. The annual energy output is 8.8 billion kWh, which can meet the power demand of one-third of Ecuador's people. On Jul 28, 2010, construction of the power station began, and on Nov 18, 2016, the station was fully completed and put into operation. The picture shows the Sinclair Hydroelectric Power Plant.
