China’s project in foreign banknote

Kaleta Hydroelectric Power Plant was built in May 2015 by China International Water and Electric Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG). It is located in the Konkoure River drainage basin in Western Guinea. The Guinean government regarded it as a priority and key energy project. The Kaleta hydropower station has a remarkable influence in the local area and was the No 1 project at that time. As the project was put into operation, the Central Bank of Guinea printed the image of the Kaleta hydropower station on the country's newly issued 20,000 denomination banknotes.
