The first overseas bridge built with Chinese standards

Indonesia Suramadu Bridge was the first bridge that China built with its own construction standards overseas. It connects Indonesia’s second largest city Surabaya and Madura Island, with a length of 5,438 m. The bridge was designed and constructed by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) from November 2005 to June 2009.
