On Jan 1, 1984, China was included in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which was a landmark event for the country's nuclear industry development. Being a member of the IAEA was an important reform and opening-up measure of the country's nuclear industry and had a positive influence for its healthy and rapid development. It has become an international cooperation platform for the nation's central SOEs in the field.
