The National Exhibition and Convention Center
The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) was inaugurated in Shanghai on Nov 5 with the participation of 82 countries and three international organizations, as well as more than 3,000 enterprises from over 130 countries and regions.
The expo is a unique initiative marking China's evolving high-level opening-up and the country's efforts in further boosting global economic development and trade cooperation.
At the expo, Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) have signed many deals in various fields.
SPIC signs deals in many fields
Five subsidiaries of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) namely Shanghai Electric Power Co, State Nuclear Power Engineering Company, State Nuclear Power Automation System Engineering Co, SPIC Nei Mongol Energy Co and SPIC Guizhou Jinyuan Co have signed 9 cooperative agreements with Ansaldo, General Electric Company, Westinghouse Electric Co, Asia Minerals, OM Holdings Limited, and other companies.
Among them, Shanghai Electric Power Co signed agreements with Shanghai Electric and Ansaldo for purchase of gas turbine equipment, marking the successful introduction of the first GT36-S5 H-class gas turbine in China, which promotes the country's equipment application level.
