CCTEG Contributes to Trial Operation of First China-Made Ultra-Long Working Face Packaged Technology, Equipment

A trial operation of China's first domestically-developed 450-meter ultra-long smart comprehensive mechanized coal mining working face equipment and related technologies for medium-thick coal seams was declared successful on May 11.

Presided over by China Coal Technology & Engineering Group (CCTEG), the trial operation marked that China has the capacity to develop key equipment and smart technologies in the field of high-end coal machine equipment and coal exploitation.

Wang Guofa, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief scientist of CCTEG, said that expanding the working face at large-scale coal mines with preferential resources is the future for green, smart and highly-efficient coal development in which domestically-developed packaged equipment will play a key role.
