China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy)'s Yulin Chemical Company has produced qualified sodium chloride and realized continuous stable operation for more than a month.
The success confirms successful application of the low-temperature salt separation method based on critical freezing and vacuum heat treating, the first time such technologies have been used in coal chemical wastewater treatment in the country, and sets a benchmark for wastewater treatment.

Unlike the nanofiltration membrane salt separation method, the low-temperature method is based on critical freezing and vacuum heat treating that need less investment and have lower operation costs and shorter processing. However, the new technologies call for quite high requirements for design and operation.
It took the company nearly one and a half year to develop the technological method and realize long-term stable operation of the equipment.
