CEC-Developed Cutting-Edge Technologies Support Regular Epidemic Prevention and Control

Updated: 2022-04-25

China Electronics Corporation (CEC) is contributing to regular prevention and control management of the COVID-19 pandemic with its self-developed cutting-edge technologies.

Taking advantages of its resources, CEC has developed a mobile nucleic acid collection cabin based on several self-developed clean and secure patented biological laboratory technologies.

Strictly following the requirements of medical and health and bio-safety protection, the mobile cabin features a separate registration room and sampling room as well as several other functional partitions, which ensures the safety of medical workers while taking comfort into account.

It's worth noting that the mobile cabin can be easily moved and installed with a single crane in only one to two hours.

To help with regular pandemic prevention and control in large-scale venues, China Electronics Panda Crystal Technology Corporation, a subsidiary of CEC, launched a photocatalytic violet-ray disinfection robot that can be used in public places where there are people doing normal activities, and an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection robot for use only in medical places when there is no person. The latter has been widely used in frontline disinfection during the pandemic outbreak.

The two types of robots have functions of filtration, UV sterilization and nanotechnology-based catalytic disinfection and are able to eliminate more than 99.99 percent of harmful pathogens.

What's more, they can conduct accurate positioning and automatically avoid obstacles by relying on navigation and artificial intelligence (AI) environment recognition technologies, making them suitable for large-scale venues like government halls, office buildings, shopping malls, airports, high-speed railway stations and factory workshops.

A self-service anti-explosion temperature measuring gate developed by CEC has been put into trial use at Harbin Taiping International Airport in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Hulunbuir Dongshan International Airport in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport and Tianjin Binhai International Airport.

The new-type gate is equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as non-inductive anti-explosion, black-body radiation-based online correction temperature measurement, intelligent biological recognition and anti-trail tracking control.

Passengers' identification can be quickly confirmed only by putting their ID cards to the scanning area on the gate when they arrive at the terminals, while their current temperature, health code and security check can also be done.

The average time for a passenger without luggage to pass through the gate is about five to six seconds, and eight seconds for passengers with luggage.

The machine is playing a key role in simplifying detection processes and improving security check efficiency. It also helps avoid close contact between airport staffs and the passengers, and between passengers waiting in line.

CEC's subsidiary in South China's Guangdong Province has optimized functions of the health code in the region, guaranteeing stability of the system's performance.

The company also deployed the pandemic prevention and verification platform at transportation passes in Guangdong and neighboring regions. Identification can be confirmed in two seconds when a person puts his or her ID card close to the machine.

In addition, a system to support management of pandemic workers and others has also been launched, through which people involved in any given case can be managed with only one code.
