As a super comprehensive port, the Tuas Port integrates port shipping, harbor industry, shipbuilding and other related industries. Once the project is completed, the Tuas Port will become the world's largest automated port, enhancing Singapore's evolution into an international shipment hub and increasing its marine transport industry opportunities.

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC), a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC), was responsible for the equipment manufacturing. The first equipment includes 20 double-trolley automated quay cranes and 56 automated gantry cranes.

Based on innovation of multiple key technologies, ZPMC realized intelligent upgrading of double-trolley automated quay cranes, which improved their efficiency. The gantry crane is supplied with the world's most advanced assisted control system, making it capable of carrying out automated control of container trucks in the exchange zone of the container yard.

It's worth noting that image recognition and cybersecurity technologies have been widely used in key systems for the first time in such projects. The cybersecurity system monitors mutual information security between various sub-systems, which improves equipment operation efficiency and at the same time guarantees system data security.
