China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO Group) demonstrated its unmanned driving heavy truck for smart custom clearance at the Port of Mandula on the China-Mongolia border on March 20.
The vehicle is expected to help solve problems like driver shortages and low efficiency of custom clearance and promote development of unmanned custom clearance and unmanned port operations.

Developed by Beiben Trucks group Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of NORINCO Group, the vehicle is equipped with independently-developed chassis control-by-wire and electric control systems as well as situational awareness, positioning and navigation, vehicle control, remote driving and fault diagnosis systems, and can realize all-weather automatic driving.

The vehicle is the first of its kind to be equipped with an L4 smart driving system in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and has functions like route planning, lane changing, car following and accurate automatic parking.
