Asia's First Deepwater Jacket Ready for Shipment

Manufacturing of Haiji One, Asia's first deepwater jacket independently designed and built by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), has been completed.

With a height of 302 meters and weight of 30,000 metric tons, Haiji One was hauled onto the barge by more than 200 workers, nearly seven hours ahead of schedule, setting a national record for loading of an ultra-large jacket.

Its completion is a new breakthrough in China's design and construction technology of ultra-large offshore oil and gas platform jackets, and is expected to create a new mode for the country's medium-and deep-sea oil and gas resource development.
