AVIC Participates in 1st World Defense Show

China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC), participated in the first World Defense Show held from March 6 to 9 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Various types of advanced aviation products and solutions were demonstrated at the show. They included advanced equipment like the FC-31 fighter, the Y-9E transporter, the WL-2 Wing Loong UAV and the advanced aviation R&D and manufacture center sandbox, as well as the AR-36 UAV, Vespa VTOL UAV and the systems fitted on other small UAVs.

Founded by Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Military Industries and organized by several other ministries and government departments, the World Defense Show intends to make the country an ideal hub for future defense trade and innovation.

According to the founder, more than 600 exhibitors from over 45 countries participated in the exhibition and more than 30,000 visitors in professional fields attended the show.
