A new China-Europe freight train recently departed from Luzhou Port, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, carrying 50 containers of machinery, electronic products, food and other materials.
It left China via Horgos Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and is scheduled to arrive in Duisburg, German, after a journey of 22 days. The entire journey will cover about 11,000 kilometers.

The freight train is operated by COSCO SHIPPING Logistics Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (COSCO SHIPPING Group).
A result of cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING Group and the Sichuan government, the freight train will take advantage of the company's logistics capacity and network to provide a transport channel for import and export of products and energy.
Next, the company plans to push forward connection between the China-Myanmar passages and Luzhou to build the city into a port-type national logistics hub at a new level of opening up in the region.
