Chinese Central SOE Subsidiaries Included in Top 30 UK-Based Chinese Companies with Fastest Growth

Far East Facade (UK) Limited of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), CGN Global Uranium Limited of China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), and Henry Bath & Son Limited of China Logistics Group Co., Ltd. were among the top fastest-growing 30 UK-based China-invested firms in 2021, a report showed on March 3.

Based on indicators such as operating revenue, employee numbers and growth rate and revenue growth, the report released by Tou Ying Tracker is an annual analysis of China-UK enterprises produced by the accountancy company Grant Thornton UK in collaboration with China Daily UK and the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK).

It shows the operation condition of the UK-based Chinese firms and reflects involvement of Chinese firms into the UK economy and their contributions to UK's social development and regional economic growth.

According to the report, Henry Bath & Son Limited, which mainly focuses on storage and transport of metal and soft commodities traded at the exchanges, had a revenue growth of 57.8 percent in 2021.

Relying on connection between its global storage network and the Chinese market, the company has played a key role in global bulk commodity supply chains and become a bridge between the Chinese and the global markets, serving the "dual circulation" development pattern in which domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement.

CGN Global Uranium Limited became CGN's only overseas investment and financing platform for uranium development in January 2019. It now concentrates on overseas uranium marketing and trading and is one of the most active traders in the global uranium market.

It is the exclusive agency of the Husab Mine in Namibia, the world's third-largest uranium mine with an annual output of 5,700 tons.

Far East Facade (UK) Limited is invested by China State Construction Development Holdings Limited (CSCD), a subsidiary of CSCEC. According to its website, the "Far East Facade" brand of CSCD has become a highly competitive company in the world, which, as a facade company, has the longest history, largest business scale and highest market share in Hong Kong.
