A China Southern Airlines Company Limited (China Southern) cargo flight carrying 80 metric tons of freight took off from Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong Province, for London, the United Kingdom, on Feb 24. It was the company's first Guangzhou-London cargo flight.

A qualified cargo airline company for public air transport affiliated to China Southern, China Southern Cargo has seized the opportunity of the rapidly-developing e-commerce industry and taken advantages of the intensive manufacturing resources in the Pearl River Delta region to help promote China-made goods to the world.

It opened its first intercontinental route between Guangzhou and Amsterdam in the Netherlands in Sept 2021.

Operation of the new route will keep improving China Southern's service capacity for industries like advanced manufacturing, express mail and cross-border e-commerce and will improve the modern economic circulation system.
