In response to the latest outbreak of COVID-19 in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec) purchased 230,000 oximeters on an emergency basis and sent them to the region.
Blood oxygen saturation is one of the five indicators of human bodily health together with heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate and body temperature. An oximeter is a tool that monitors blood oxygen saturation at home and in hospital, and is particularly relevant during the anti-pandemic period.
Genertec Meheco's subsidiaries in South China's Guangdong Province were made responsible for medical supply to Hong Kong's pandemic fight at a meeting held at the company's headquarter on Feb 24.

Despite a shortage of oximeters in the global market against the background of the pandemic, Genertec Meheco purchased 230,000 oximeters within two days and arranged their delivery to Hong Kong.
At present, the first 230,000 oximeters have been delivered to the warehouse designated by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority and another one million are scheduled to be shipped soon.
